Brooklyn Dodgers

My favorite New York Baseball Team is and always will be the Brooklyn Dodgers. Although they play Baseball in another state now and aren’t called the ‘Brooklyn Dodgers’, I will always be partial to them because of the stories that he used to tell me when I was little.

Even though I enjoy watching the Yankee and Met games on my Satellite TV with direct tv packages, those teams will never be my favorite. The funny part is, my Dad used to tell me stores about how his Mother used to take him to the games. Yes, my Grandmother was the die hard Dodger fan. My Grandfather couldn’t be concerned with any type of sport other than horse racing. My Grandmother was the one that watched the games. He would tell me about how she would sit in front of the Television with a Granny Smith Apple and pour salt on it as she would eat it. He would also tell me about how she used to love to watch Football games in the rain and snow because the players would slip and slide all over the field. This was entertaining to her. She would watch Baseball one season and Football the next.

This is why no matter what team belongs to New York, I will always be partial to the Dodgers because of the memories they hold for me.
